J&P | Saturday 18th July 2020
These love birds were originally meant to tie the knot in April 2020 … but the dreaded pandemic struck and all their plans came crashing down. We then postponed the wedding to January 2021 to give ourselves some time to see how things were going to unfold. Two months later, I received a call from the bride to say “I don’t want to wait that long! Let’s do it next month! Are you free on the 18th July?????” Love can not be put on hold.
The guest list went from 120pax down to 19pax and all plans were made within a month’s lead time. The original venue in Manjimup was still closed due to Covid, so new ceremony and reception spaces were found. The couple decided on the deck area overlooking Beedalup Falls, followed by a beautiful intimate reception dinner at Karri Valley Resort, in their Lakeside Restaurant.
Mother Nature was kind to us on the big day, and although it was chilly, there wasn’t any rain during the ceremony. It was an emotional, love filled occasion, with the most important people there to witness the couple declare their commitment to one another. I couldn’t help but cry happy tears as I listened to the vows in the back ground. Yes – I’m a huge softy for love.
