Our Story....

We have been together since the 20th November 2013. I was working with Gareth's sister. He came in to visit her one day and the rest as they say, is history. In June 2017, we went back to Ireland to visit my family and at some point I had mentioned how I would love to go to Marco Pierre Whites Restaurant. On the 25th June 2017, after a long walk in St. Stephens Green Park he surprised me with a table booking and popped the question. There was nothing cheesy about this proposal, it was perfect.

We chose to get married in the Southern Forests & Valleys region of Western Australia as its our home. We matched our wedding theme to our surroundings and had a rustic, country inspired wedding.

The Details....

Venue: We held our wedding at the picturesque Dingup House.

Number of Guests: 65

Reception Style: Cocktail

Wedding Dress: I purchased my wedding dress from Bunbury Bridal and Ball. After trying on 4 dresses, my friend suddenly handed me this dress that seemed to call out to her. Once it was on, I knew this was the one.

Bridal Party: We had two beautiful flower girls. Gareth's niece and my goddaughter. They both wore ivory dresses with a navy satin sash and gold hair bands & sandals. They looked like little princesses.

Groom: Gareth wore a navy jacket and beige trousers from Connor in Bunbury.

Rings: White gold wishbone ring for the bride and a classic sterling silver band for the groom.

Photographer: KE Photography. Kirrily was so professional and captured the exact style of photos we wanted. She made us feel so relaxed.

Event Planner/Stylist: I styled the venue myself with the help of Gareth, my Dad and the very helpful Chris from Dingup House.

Did you hire in any equipment? No, we didn't need to. The marquee came with the venue, which was a huge bonus being the hottest day in December and Chris provided the lighting, which looked magical at night.

Catering: 'That Food Truck' provided 8 delicious rounds of mini cheese burgers, mini fish and chips, pizza, prawns, cheesy potato balls, lamb skewers and pulled pork burgers. Our custard tarts and wedding cake were made by the very talented Dian from Dian's Little Cake House and it was amazing.

Music & Entertainment: We downloaded a big playlist and played it through the speaker at the reception. We got to choose our own choice of songs to dance the night away - it was a big hit.

Wedding Transport: I highly recommend The Chevy Chauffeur. Ryan was great and the car was all I ever wanted, it was perfect!

Fav Moments from the day....

There were so many throughout the day but the ones that seem to outshine the others are;

1. My Dad coming over from Ireland and walking me down the aisle.

2. Seeing Gareth at the top of the aisle waiting for me with the biggest smile on his face.

3. Dancing with my Dad at the reception

4. The moment the priest pronounced us man and wife.
